About The Area

Costa Tropical, also called the Costa Granada or Costa Granadina, is the stretch of coastline with picturesque beaches and pristine coves on the southern Spain situated between the Costa del Sol and Costa de Almeria.

This beautiufl area offers something for everyone, with pristine beaches, rugged cliffs, soaring mountains and pretty whitewashed villages.

The area of the coast we specialise in is to the east of the Costa Tropical, and includes La Rábita, Albuñol and Albondón.

Climate

The Costa Tropical has a marked micro-climate, as the foothills of the Sierra Nevada and Las Alpujarras protect the coast from the extremes of temperature other southern areas of Spain receive.

The climate is referred to as “Sub-Tropical”, which refers to tropical-style temperatures and weather patterns, but without the high humidity.

How To Get Here

Costa Tropical is easily accessible via three airports:  Granada Airport of Granada (70 minues), Malaga Airport (90 minutes) and Almeria Airport (50 minutes).

All airports are connected via recently built highways. Please ask about our Airport Pickup service when arranging your next visit.
